KY4TV
Bowling Green Amateur Television

KY4TV is now in operation from Cherry Hall on the WKU campus in Bowling Green KY. Thanks to KC4WFN Marshall, W4WSM Ben, KA4CFW Fred, and WB4SCV Tom, KJ4CMG Herb Hess (wku maintiance).

The antennas were installed the week o f June 7, 2010 and the equipment is now operational. This constitutes the 1st half of a dual  cross band system.  The 1280 MHz receive and 421.25 MHz transmit  (Cable chan 57)  is operating.

For Hams that can receive but do not have 1280 MHz fm transmitters, you can test your receive capability by tuning your down converter to the low end, and your beam (horizontal polarization) toward Cherry Hall on the WKU campus.

If you have an old analog cable tv set and an outside antenna ,  put it on Chan 57 - you may need a pre amp too.

Note: the 2 meter control receiver antenna is in the building and some will not be able to access it but that will be corrected soon.

The following touch tone codes will turn the repeater on and off, transmitting its ID. Key your 2 meter transmitter on 144.34 MHz simplex and enter the codes to the right.

On code   A B C followed by  00*

Off code   ABC   followed by 00#

BE SURE TO TURN IT OFF WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.

Other codes will be published later.

The repeater output is on the W4HTB BATC.TV stream most of the time.  go to www.batc.tv and click on the Member Streams box  and you will see a list of streaming stations and non-streaming stations.  Locate W4HTB on the streaming and click on it then click on "view"

Thanks to Paul K4VXP  the ATN Sec/Treas for his input and support. Paul is in Campbellsville and is very active.
